NOAA updating its Atlantic hurricane season outlook.
There've been three named storms so far, but NOAA forecaster Matthew Rosencrans says we're just now entering peak season which runs from August through October.
He says conditions still favor an above normal hurricane season, but the number of storms has ticked down.
Colorado State researchers also updating their outlook for the remainder of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane season, lowering the number of named storms and hurricanes as well.
