Coast Guard Sets Up Command Post In Miami For Hurricane Ian Response

The Seventh Coast Guard has set up an Area Command Post in response to Hurricane Ian. Petty Officer 1st Class Ayla Hudson says it's at the Coast Guard Air Station Miami in Opa Locka. She says their initial focus will be on rescue and recovery. Once they have done that they will deal with storm surge, wind damage and overall assessments. Crews are working round the clock to help.
