LINK: Red Cross Giving Day

This year’s severe weather is off to a hyperactive start — and meteorologists are predicting increased tornado and flood risks for much of the country this spring. In the Plains and Midwest, this winter’s heavy snow could bring potential flooding, and forecasters say warmer temperatures in May could trigger severe storms and tornadoes across the South and Midwest.

As the worsening climate crisis continues to take a toll on communities, Red Cross Giving Day on March 22 provides an opportunity to unite as a nation to help families who will be affected by future disasters. In addition to extreme weather emergencies, the Red Cross responds to home fires that occur daily across the country.
