Ozzy Osbourne has been struggling with his health since 2019, when he suffered a gruesome spinal injury. Since then, he's undergone several surgeries and been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The rock legend's continued to make music but had to make the tough decision to retire from touring. A new documentary titled OZZY OSBOURNE: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW will peel back the curtain and "reveal the devastating setbacks" that have been caused by his health problems.

"This is Ozzy Osbourne like you’ve never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all-time, detailing how the singer’s world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time," reads an Instagram caption about the project. "Addressing his health issues and impact of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, the film showcases the central role music continues to play in Ozzy’s life."

“The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I’ve been through. There’s been times when I thought my number was up,” Ozzy said in a statement. “But making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music.”

“This film is an honest account of what has happened to Ozzy during the last few years," his wife Sharon Osbourne added. "It shows how hard things have been for him and the courage he has shown while dealing with a number of serious health issues, including Parkinson’s. It’s about the reality of his life now. We have worked with a production team we trust and have allowed them the freedom to tell the story openly. We hope that story will inspire people that are facing similar issues to Ozzy.”

Black Sabbath announced their final show earlier this month. Billed as Back To The Beginning, the band will consist of its classic lineup—singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward—and the concert is set to take place at Villa Park in their hometown of Birmingham. Although Ozzy will be a part of the concert, his involvement will be limited due to his physical restrictions.

“It’s my time to go Back To The Beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Ozzy said in a statement about the event. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love? Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

The all-day event will also feature sets from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Gojira and many other rock and metal icons. Back To The Beginning is slated to go down on July 5.
