(Miami, FL) - Miami Instagram model Courtney Clenney will have to wait a few more months for her second-degree murder trial in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.
She's been locked up since 2022 and has pleaded not guilty claiming self-defense in the death of Christian Obumseli.
Her attorneys allege Clenney threw the knife that plunged into Obumseli’s chest.
Judge Andrea Wolfson agreed to postpone her trial until August with prosecutors stating they still have more than a dozen depositions scheduled.
Clenney was supposed to go to trial April 27th, but both the prosecution and defense asked for a joint continuance.
Miami-Dade Circuit judge Andrea Wolfson agreed to delay the proceedings with a warning, “This really has to be a final continuance.”
No specific trial date has been set but both parties hope to begin picking a jury in August.
