Jose Carlos Blanquicett,23, is identified as the man who led police on a wild chase Tuesday afternoon, in a stolen van through I-95 and the 112-Airport Expressway.
Florida Highway Patrol say the Homestead registered sex offender is now facing charges of grand theft, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, battery on a law enforcement officer, and sexual battery.
Miami-Dade Police said the sexual battery occurred outside of a mental health facility before he ran off.
A judge Wednesday ordered he be held on house arrest after posting bond.

Two years ago, Blanquicett was arrested in the Upper Keys for stealing a Honda in Key West.
