A number of people have been killed after at least FIVE (new number) gunmen dressed in combat fatigues entered a popular Moscow concert venue a short time ago and opened fire. There are many more injuries, though a total has yet to be determined.
The attack comes only days after the United States embassy in Moscow wanted any Americans still in Russia to leave the country immediately. The embassy warned at the time that an extremist group had imminent plans for an attack in Moscow.
Video posted a short time ago on social media shows the gunmen randomly firing into the crowd both in the theatre and in the lobby of the building.
The concert venue – Crocus City Hall – is in the western part of Moscow. It is now burning after explosives brought into the building ignited.
Riot police are currently on the scene.
