Lightning Shut Out Capitals

The Tampa Bay Lightning (5-3-0) defeated the Washington Capitals (5-2-0) 3-0 on Saturday night at Amalie Arena.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 32 saves to earn the shutout. The Lightning offense came from goals from Mitchell Chaffee in the second, before Brayden Point and Conor Geekie scored in the third. Nikita Kucherov earned a point in his eighth straight game.

The Lightning look to build on this win when Steven Stamkos returns to Amalie Arena on Monday night with the Nashville Predators. Puck drop between the Lightning and Predators is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Monday night.
