The Tampa Bay Lightning (44-25-5) defeated the New York Islanders (32-32-10) 4-1 on Tuesday night in Elmont, New York. With the win, the Lightning have now won their last four games in a row.
Nikita Kucherov had two assists and extended his point streak to nine games. Tampa Bay got goals from Oliver Bjorkstrand, Jake Guentzel, and Victor Hedman in the first two periods to build a 3-1 lead, before Nick PUal clinched the game with an empty netter late in the third.
The Lightning now travel to Ottawa where they'll play the Senators on Thursday night. Puck drop from Ottawa is scheduled for 7:00 PM Thursday.
