(Miami, FL) - Two Miami police officers suffered shoulder and possible back injuries after a vehicle cut them off on the Dolphin Expressway (SR-836) Wednesday morning.
Miami Police Chief Manny Morales says the veteran officers were on detail and had their lights on at the time the offending black SUV swerved into their lane while traveling westbound on the Dolphin.
Chief Morales says, "There's no indication that it was deliberate, but it was definitely careless." He added, "It is not clear if the SUV actually hit the motormen but is continued westbound and did not stop.
Anyone with information about the fleeing SUV is asked to call police.
