(Miami, FL) - There's a new threat on top of extreme drought in South Florida.
A combination of light wind, heavy smoke and increased moisture is leading to the risk of extremely dense fog overnight.
National Weather Service meteorologist Anna Torres Vasquez warns that we could even see something called "super fog."
She says visibility with super fog can be limited to 10-feet. She says if windspeeds increase and the fires are contained; the fog might not be as dense.
She also says the extreme drought conditions are expected to continue until hurricane season.
Rain chances will increase over the weekend as a frontal boundary moves through, but she does not expect much relief.
